Following discussion and endorsement by the Competitions Committee, Rowing WA has introduced a formal process for clubs to request a review of athlete rowing scores, particularly automatic adjustments to rowing scores arising from participation and success at the Australian Rowing Championships. The Competitions Committee agreed that a transparent and consistent process would provide an opportunity to address exceptional circumstances while maintaining the integrity of the Rowing Score system within the Rules of Racing. Please review sections 10-12 within the Rules before submitting an application. 

Requests are ONLY to be completed by a club coach, captain or other authorised club representative on behalf of the athlete concerned. Before submitting a request, clubs should discuss the proposed application with the athlete and ensure all relevant information is provided. Rowing WA will review each submission individually and may seek external advice from Competitions Committee club representatives where appropriate before determining an outcome.

Please provide clear details regarding the athlete's circumstances and the reasons you believe a review should be considered. Submission of a request does not guarantee a change to an athlete's rowing score.

Re-grading requests must be received prior to midnight Monday 13 July 2026. 

Outcomes of rowing score adjustment requests will be finalised, communicated and updated online by Tuesday 21 July 2026.
