A huge congratulations to Trinity College Rowing Club!
Rowing Australia announced today the finalists for the 2025 'High Performance Club of the Year'. Winners will be announced on December 5th at the 2025 Rower of the Year Awards in Canberra.

Rowing Australia is proud to acknowledge the clubs whose commitment to excellence drives the high-performance pathway forward.
Rowing Australia High Performance Club of the Year Nominee: Trinity College Rowing Club
In addition to being a PSA school and developing crews to compete in the annual Head of the River Regatta, Trinity College Rowing Club (TCRC) demonstrates a sustained, high-performing pathway environment that aligns strongly with Rowing Australia’s High Performance strategy. The program employs a large and experienced coaching group led by Phil Jurjevich, supported by multiple Level 3 and Level 2 coaches, former National Team athletes, and draws on input from senior coaches from clubs across the state. This coaching depth provides student-athletes with an environment to excel both academically and in rowing, whilst providing clear pathways into High Performance clubs after completion of year 12.
TCRC continues to grow participation in the performance pathway, with a long history of producing state and national representatives, including over 25 Australian team members and nine Olympians throughout its history. In 2025, students were selected into the Rowing WA pathway team, with several medalling at State Championships, and three Year 12 athletes earning selection in the Australian Junior Team, alongside alumnus Alex Rossi in the Senior Team.
The club through its pathway alignment with WAIS, has multiple underage athletes and former students in contention for categorisation including Jack Hanson-Knarhoi, Lachlan Brown, and Lucas Cardaci, with alumni such as Jack Cleary and Alex Rossi continuing to perform at elite level. TCRC works closely with WAIS, RA-aligned high-performance clubs, and Rowing Australia through proactive scheduling, advocacy, and shared development opportunities.
Recent student-athletes achieved strong State and National results in 2024, including national titles and multiple silver medals across U19 and youth categories. TCRC also supports cross-club collaboration, providing training access, equipment, and logistical support to help athletes transition toward national teams.
The program maintains strong relationships with schools and clubs, fosters growth statewide, and upholds RA’s core values of teamwork, respect, integrity, and courage, providing a culture where athletes strive for excellence and character in equal measure.
