The Next Challenge for Claire Jansen

So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Good Bye!

Rowing WA Development & Operations Coordinator, Claire Jansen, has recently accepted a position as Head of Rowing at Perth College, commencing in January 2023.

Claire has been a valued member of the Rowing WA team since March 2021, working closely with Development & Operations Manager Sarah Black in areas focussed on regatta management and club/coach/officials development.  We congratulate Claire on such a great appointment and wish her all the best in her new role. 

Rowing WA CEO, Daniel Tackenberg, commented;

“Although Claire’s departure will be a loss to Rowing WA, it is great to see that she has been retained within the sport as well as following her passion for rowing coaching and sport management”.


Claire attributed her skills developed at Rowing WA as a significant contributor to her success in gaining the role with Perth College, saying;

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Rowing WA and developing my skills related to sport development and event management. I feel much more confident in taking on this new role with Perth College because of my role with Rowing WA.”
