Thank You, Stacey

After 12 months of dedicated service to Rowing WA and the wider rowing community, General Manager Operations, Stacey Francis-Bayman, will conclude her time with the organisation on 17 July to take up an exciting new opportunity in the tertiary sport sector.

Stacey joined Rowing WA bringing a wealth of experience from professional sport and a range of sporting organisations. Over the past year, she has played a key role in driving positive change across the organisation, challenging traditional thinking, introducing new ideas and helping strengthen the way Rowing WA supports its clubs, members and stakeholders.

Her impact has been felt across many areas of the organisation. Stacey has led significant improvements to Rowing WA’s marketing and communications, championed the adoption of new technologies including artificial intelligence, and helped modernise internal processes and member engagement. Her focus on innovation and continuous improvement has ensured Rowing WA remains responsive to the evolving needs of the rowing community.

Stacey was also instrumental in delivering several key initiatives, including the Club Development Workshops, the Annual Awards Dinner, the Club Grants Program and enhancements to member communications. These initiatives have helped strengthen connections across the rowing community while providing greater support and opportunities for clubs, volunteers and participants throughout Western Australia.

Beyond the projects and outcomes, Stacey brought energy, creativity and enthusiasm to everything she did. Her collaborative approach and willingness to explore new opportunities have left a lasting mark on the organisation and contributed to a strong foundation for future growth.

Rowing WA CEO Daniel Tackenberg said: "Rowing WA is extremely grateful for the contribution Stacey has made and the legacy she leaves behind. The advancements made over the past year will continue to benefit the sport and our community for years to come."

"On behalf of Rowing WA and the broader rowing community, we thank Stacey for her outstanding service and wish her every success in the next chapter of her career."

As Rowing WA looks to the future, work is underway to review the organisation’s structure to ensure it remains aligned with both current priorities and future ambitions. Clubs and stakeholders will be kept informed as this process progresses, with arrangements being made to ensure continuity of service and support during the transition.

Thank you, Stacey, for your passion, leadership and contribution to rowing in Western Australia.

A special thank you from your team for your great team building initiatives, we will keep the spirit going!
