Rowing WA Launches Club Development Series to Empower WA Clubs

Rowing WA is proud to announce the launch of the Club Development Spring Series — a collection of five free evening workshops designed to support the growth and sustainability of rowing clubs across Western Australia.

Held throughout October and November, the series brings together expert presenters and practical learning opportunities for coaches, coxes, volunteers, and club leaders. Each session is tailored to address key areas of club development, from leadership and inclusion to digital systems and volunteer management.

“This series is about investing in the people who make our sport thrive,” said Stacey Francis-Bayman, General Manager – Operations at Rowing WA. “We’ve curated sessions that are relevant, accessible, and immediately useful for clubs of all sizes.”

The Series Includes:

  • The Fundamentals of Coxing – Led by Bourby Webster
  • Developing Your Coaching Leadership – Led by Jodii Maguire
  • Disability and Inclusion – Led by WA Disabled Sports Association Inc. (WADSA)
  • revSPORT Optimisation Workshop – Led by Christopher Fountain
  • Attain, Retain and Maintain Volunteers – Led by Keith Whelan, The Grants Guy

Each session runs from 6:00 PM, is free for Rowing WA members, and will be held in-person and online in teh Conference Room at Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. Registration is essential for each session and can be completed via the central Club Development - Spring Series webpage.
