RA seeks Senior Coach for PR3 Program

Rowing Australia has opened Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a Senior Coach to join its PR3 Para‑Rowing Program, following Australia’s most successful Paralympic campaign to date.

After outstanding results at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and continued podium success at the 2025 World Rowing Championships, Rowing Australia is seeking a high‑quality, motivated coach to help drive the next phase of performance within the PR3 program.

The role will be based at the Reinhold Batschi National Training Centre (RBNTC) in Canberra, working within a centralised high‑performance environment. The successful applicant will work closely with the Head of Para and Beach Sprint Rowing and the Para‑Rowing Lead Coach, contributing to technical excellence, daily performance standards, and a strong high‑performance culture.

About the role

The Senior Coach will play a key role in preparing athletes and crews for podium success at World Rowing Championships and the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games. Quality coaching is central to sustained success, and this position presents an outstanding opportunity to contribute meaningfully to one of Rowing Australia’s most successful programs.

This is a full‑time position, with alternative arrangements considered. A competitive remuneration package will be offered, commensurate with experience.

  • A strong track record of coaching success at national and/or international level
  • The ability to develop and sustain a high‑performance culture aligned with Rowing Australia values and the AIS Win Well pledge
  • A commitment to athlete wellbeing as a core pillar of sustainable high performance
  • Experience working within integrated, multidisciplinary performance support teams
  • An interest in international Para‑Rowing and ongoing professional development
  • Knowledge of Para‑Rowing classification principles, or a willingness to develop this expertise
  • A collaborative approach to planning and delivering podium‑level performance outcomes
