McHenry Hohnen Joins AMRC 2026
Published Tue 19 May 2026
McHenry Hohnen Named Official Wine Partner of AMRC 2026
Rowing WA is pleased to announce McHenry Hohnen as the Official Wine Partner of the 2026 Australian Masters Rowing Championships (AMRC), to be held in Western Australia from 27–30 May 2026.
The partnership brings together two organisations with deep roots in Western Australian community, heritage and connection — both on and off the water. With a long-standing link to rowing in the state, the McHenry and Hohnen families have been part of the sport’s story for decades, including their role in founding the Margaret River Rowing Club in the 1970s.
As a proudly Western Australian producer, McHenry Hohnen is known for its commitment to sustainability, craftsmanship and biodynamic farming — values that strongly align with the AMRC experience and the broader rowing community. The 2026 AMRC provides a platform to showcase these shared values on a national stage, while enhancing the event experience for competitors and supporters.
As the Official Wine Partner, McHenry Hohnen will contribute across key social moments of the championships, complementing the connection, celebration and community that define the event beyond the racing.
Rowing WA CEO, Daniel Tackenberg, said the partnership reflects a natural alignment between two organisations grounded in shared values.
“The Australian Masters Rowing Championships celebrate more than just racing — they bring together community, connection and a lifelong involvement in our sport. McHenry Hohnen’s history with rowing in Western Australia, combined with their commitment to quality and sustainability, makes this a genuinely authentic partnership. We are proud to welcome them as our Official Wine Partner for AMRC 2026.”
Founder of McHenry Hohnen, Murray McHenry said the partnership was both a personal and meaningful connection to the championships.
“Rowing has been part of our family story for generations, and it’s something we’re incredibly proud to continue supporting. The AMRC brings together a community that values connection, tradition and shared experiences — values we hold strongly at McHenry Hohnen. We are delighted to be part of the 2026 championships and to welcome visitors to experience what the South West has to offer.”
Sip, Stay & Explore the South West
McHenry Hohnen welcomes all competitors and supporters travelling to Western Australia for the Championships to explore the South West region during their stay. As a special offer, AMRC participants can enjoy 20% off fine dining and world-class wines at Vintners Wine Bar in Witchcliffe, from 26 May – 9 June. Simply mention that you are a part of the rowing community on arrival. Don't forget to also take up the opportunity to visit the McHenry Hohnen cellar door and experience estate-grown wines produced through sustainable biodynamic farming.
The 2026 Australian Masters Rowing Championships will welcome competitors, supporters and officials from across the country to Western Australia, delivering four days of racing, reconnection and celebration — on and off the water.
The Championships will take place from 27–30 May 2026 at Champion Lakes Regatta Centre.
Organisations interested in partnering with the 2026 Australian Masters Rowing Championships are encouraged to get in touch with Rowing WA to explore tailored partnership opportunities aligned with this nationally recognised event.
