Hour of Power | Session #3 Wrap-up

Greg Kerr from Horizon Physiotherapy hosted the third Hour of Power of the year - a fantastic presentation called "The Resilient Rower".

Greg is a highly experienced rower & physiotherapist, & is the clinical director at Horizon. The workshop drew around 30 participants & covered common rowing injuries, how to avoid them in the first place, how to manage them once they've appeared, & how to optimise training & technique to stay healthy & pain-free.

Among other things, we learned about why Greg likes to see 'fishing rod' posture in rowers, why we should be paying way more attention to the Thoraco Lumbar Fascia, & why the 'Kerr Squat' should be considered as a part of everyone's warm-up routine. Attendees were able to ask all their questions and practice the key movements. Greg was even able to educate a few newer rowers about the extremely successful pairs of Ginn & Tomkins and Bond & Murray, and explained some of the elements that made them such good sweep technicians.

The footage of the workshop is available for individuals who registered online or who are members of clubs who purchased Club Tickets (FRC, UWABC, ANA).

Huge thanks to Greg for sharing his time & expertise with us.
