Drone Pilots Wanted
Published Mon 11 May 2026
Rowing WA is in the process of developing its in-house regatta livestreaming capabilities for future regattas. A such, we are recruiting a few drone pilots to assist with the delivery of these productions.
Rowing WA owns the drone to be used for filming, so we are just seeking expressions of interest from pilots with a valid RPA Operator Accreditation or above and a minimum of 20 hours experience in flying drones, ideally for video recording purposes. However, Rowing WA is open to working with less experienced pilots and developing their drone piloting cinematic capabilities.
Drone pilots utilised for livestreaming Rowing WA regattas will be employed by Rowing WA on a casual hourly basis to meet our public liability insurance requirements. Hourly rates will vary on pilot experience but likely be between $30 and $35 per hour plus superannuation.
Expressions of interest can be sent to Rowing WA GM Operations Stacey Francis-Bayman at gmoperations@rowingwa.asn.au
