Appointed New Head Coach of the WAIS Rowing Program
Two days shy of Christmas last year, the Western Australian Institute of Sport announced the appointment of Jamie Hewlett as Head Coach of the WAIS Rowing Program.
"I am excited to be given the opportunity to lead the WAIS rowing program, having been part of the program for seven years," said Jamie.
"The pathway in WA is as strong as ever and there is a lot of talent in the program. I look forward to developing the next generation of WA rowers and supporting them to the NTC in Canberra and Penrith."
Jamie moves into the WAIS Head Coach role having served as Assistant Coach since 2017. His experience includes coaching former WAIS scholarship holder Hamish Henriques and Harrison Fox to gold in the men's pair at the 2019 World Rowing Junior Championships in Tokyo.
We congratulate you Jamie. This is wonderful news & well deserved - what an honour! Our athletes are in good hands with you.
