CITS Partnership Announced for 2026 Australian Masters Rowing Championships 

Rowing Western Australia is proud to announce a partnership with the Western Australian Governmentsupporting the delivery of the 2026 Australian Masters Rowing Championships (AMRC) at Champion Lakes Regatta Centre. 

Through the Sport and Recreation Events Funding Grants Program, the WA Government has committed $50,000 to support the event, reinforcing its commitment to attracting major sporting events that deliver strong participation, tourism and economic outcomes for Western Australia. 

The Australian Masters Rowing Championships is one of the largest rowing events in the country, attracting thousands of competitors, officials and supporters from across Australia. The 2026 Championships will showcase Champion Lakes as a premier national rowing venue and position Western Australia as a leading destination for major sporting events. 

Rowing WA Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Tackenberg said the support from the WA Government was instrumental in securing and delivering the Championships. 

We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Western Australian Government through the Sport and Recreation Events Funding program. This investment enables Rowing WA to deliver a nationally significant event that not only celebrates lifelong participation in sport, but also brings substantial economic and tourism benefits to Western Australia

The Australian Masters Rowing Championships provides an opportunity to showcase Champion Lakes Regatta Centre on a national stage, welcome visitors from across the country, and highlight Western Australia’s strength in hosting major sporting events.

This event also provides a lasting participation legacy in WA and provides an opportunity to upskill local staff and volunteers in aspects of national event delivery"

The 2026 Australian Masters Rowing Championships will form a key part of Rowing WA’s major events calendar and is expected to deliver strong visitation outcomes for the Perth region while celebrating the depth and diversity of the masters rowing community.

 

The 2026 Australian Masters Rowing Championships will take place from 27–30 May 2026 at Champion Lakes Regatta Centre, welcoming competitors and supporters from across Australia to Western Australia.
