AMRC Done & Dusted
Published Mon 02 Jun 2025
Our Masters outdid themselves at AMRC in Penrith, Sydney this year! 15 Golds, 14 Silvers, and 37 Bronze medals in total. Not to mention all the finals we made! Great job WA! We may be small, but we are powerful.
The WA Masters State Squad competed in the ISW8+ on Saturday the 31st and came home with a 4th place. This was an amazing achievement after a tough showdown between them and Queensland from the 500m to home. Competition in these races has levelled up, and we see their level and will raise it next year!
Next year AMRC will be held at Champion Lakes, 27 - 30 May. That's right...home waters. We plan to put on quite the show for our Eastern State friends.
Congratulations to all those that competed.
A thank you goes out to Rowing Australia and Rowing New South Wales for their spectacular hosting. Another thank you goes to Rowgear and Perth Rowing Club for towing the WA boats there and back safely and to Perth Rowing Club for generously loaning their 8+ to the State Team.
