2023 Australian Rowing Championships Officially Launched!

For the first time in 11 years, Perth will be centre stage for the Australian Rowing Championships.

Perth is set to welcome thousands of visitors and competitors in the next 48 hours with racing commencing next Monday, 27th March at Champion Lakes Regatta Centre.

The official launch of this spectacular event was held this morning in beautiful Elizabeth Quay and was well attended by star Olympic rowers, Government Minister the Hon Roger Cook MLA, Rowing Australia President Rob Scott, as well as local rowers and Rowing WA staff.

Annabelle McIntyre OAM & Giorgia Patten chatted to legendary sports writer Rupert Guinness, while at the launch this morning.

Perth Hosts Nation’s Top Rowers for Championship Event

Earlier today a join media statement was released from the Tourism Minister's office and the Sport & Recreation Minister's office regarding the event.

Sport and Recreation Ministers David Templeman was attributed as saying:

"This is a fantastic national event that will showcase the exciting sport of rowing to thousands and thousands of people, including young children who will no doubt be inspired by seeing the best of the best.

"I will be heading out to Champion Lakes to take a look at the event and encourage others to do the same and cheer our athletes on."

Minister Templeman, we are looking forward to seeing you at the lake next week!
