2026 AMRC Trailer Subsidy Scheme

Rowing WA recognises the impact of the current fuel crisis on all Australians in all aspects of their lives. We also recognise that for those plannigng to attend the 2026 Australian Masters Rowing Championships (AMRC), the fuel crisis adds additional cost pressure to attend the event.

As such, Rowing WA has created a Trailer Subsidy Scheme to offset the additional fuel cost of trailering boats to the 2026 AMRC from states other than WA.

Subsides have been calculated based on distance (return) and the average increase in fuel cost, as set out below:

Starting location

Subsidy

Brisbane

$1,300.80

Sydney

$1,180.50

Canberra

$1,115.70

Melbourne

$1,025.10

Hobart

$1,109.40

Adelaide

$807.90

The above is based on a return journey, paying an additional $0.60 per litre for fuel, using 25/l per 100km.

The Trailer Subsidy Scheme has a maximum cap and applications will be assessed on a first come first served basis. However, based on previous AMRC’s hosted in WA, we believe there is capacity under the scheme for all trailers travelling from interstate to access the scheme.

Those clubs wishing to access the Trailer Subsidy Scheme need to apply using the form below:

Trailer Subsidy Scheme Application Form

Applications close at 5pm AWST Monday 4 May 2026

All applicants will be advised of the outcome by COB 5pm AWST Tuesday 5 May 2026.

Conditions of Application:

  • Confirmation of a reasonable-sized trailer: Minimum 4 tiers and double axle
  • Confirmation of a reasonable number of boats (seats)

Trailer subsidies will be paid post-AMRC, once receiving confirmation of conditions being met.
