Bound into Beach - Beach Sprint TID Session

Rowing Australia, in partnership with the Commonwealth Games Association (CGA), is hosting an Under-19 Beach Sprint Talent Identification (TID) session in Perth as part of the 'Bound into Beach' initiative. This initiative aims to support multiple performance pathways in the Beach Sprint discipline, including for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.

Date: Saturday 12th July

Time: 11:00AM-5:00PM

Venue: Aquinas College Rowing Shed

Who: Under 19s (as at 31/12/2025)

The aim of the TID session is to identify emerging talent in WA to support representation at the 2025 Australian Beach Sprint Championships in Sydney (18–21 September) and the future 2030 Commonwealth Games. Athletes who meet the TID criteria will be invited to a National Under-19 Performance Pathway Camp in December. The session will introduce Beach Sprint skills and deliver a Beach Sprint TID protocol, which includes a 10-stroke erg test, a short-distance erg test, and a 60m run. A drop-down course will also be in place, allowing rowers to take part in a mini regatta.

If you are looking to attend the Beach Sprint TID session, please ensure you fill out the EOI form with a parent/guardian.
