Berry Durston Foundation

Rowing WA is reinvigorating the Berry Durston Foundation to target several causes over the next few years:

WA Rowing Hall of Fame:

  • The establishment of a WA Rowing Hall of Fame on the mezzanine level of the Champion Lakes Regatta Centre boatshed.  We are asking for assistance on two fronts:
~ People to be involved in the planning of the project, collection and logging of memorabilia, room design, etc.
~ Donations to support the establishment of the Hall of Fame.

G-ROW Armadale Rowing Program for Champion Lakes Regatta Centre:

  • Rowing WA (RWA) is embarking on a project to establish a rowing program in the South-East Metropolitan region that will use rowing as a vehicle to deliver positive community outcomes for youth at risk, indigenous, culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities.  At full steam, this could see over 3,000 students engaged in the program annually. The intention is to offer this program at a low or no cost to the participants. To establish and manage this program will take significant infrastructure and resources.
