Bridge Marshal/Health Check

Purpose of Role:
The bridge marshal is a voluntary position that ensures rowers entering under the bridge at the end of the course are safe and stable following racing.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ensuring boats enter under the birdge in an ordially fashion at the conclusion of the race.
  • Displaying a duty of care for rowers by providing a health check as they pass under the bridge.
  • Communicating via the two way radio to lifesavers/paramedics if a rower requires attention.
  • Complete a minimum of 2 shifts during the event

Note: The bridge marshal will be provided with a chair and will be required to sit under the bridge for the duration of each session.
