From 27–30 May 2026 at Champion Lakes, Rowing WA will host athletes from across Australia and overseas.

Rowing WA is expanding its in‑house regatta livestreaming capability and is seeking drone pilots to support future regatta broadcasts.
This is a paid opportunity, with pilots engaged to assist in the delivery of professional livestream productions across upcoming events.

Represent Your Uni at UniSport Nationals
Perth will host the 2026 UniSport Nationals, bringing together student‑athletes from universities across Australia for a huge week of competition.
Rowing will feature at Champion Lakes, offering a great opportunity for current student rowers to race, connect and represent their university on a national stage.
If you’re part of a Club and keen to be involved, now’s the time to put your hand up - and you don’t even have to switch Clubs!
Interested athletes should express interest through their respective universities.

Rowing WA Special General Meeting
Rowing WA will hold a Special General Meeting on Tuesday 19 May to provide member clubs with important updates on key projects, opportunities and developments across the sport.
The meeting offers club delegates the opportunity to stay informed, hear updates from Rowing Australia, and engage on matters relevant to the season ahead.
It is important that each member club is represented, either in person at the Rowing WA Boardroom or online via Microsoft Teams.

IGSSA Regatta #2
Hosted by Perth College, IGSSA Regatta #2 will take place at Champion Lakes on Saturday 16 May.
Following a strong opening regatta, crews return to the water eager to build on early‑season form as competition heats up.
PLC set the early benchmark at IGSSA #1, claiming the First Eight, with wins also recorded by John XXIII (Schoolgirl A Single Scull), St Hilda’s (Schoolgirl B Single Scull), Perth College (Year 9 B Coxed Quad) and MLC (Year 9 D Coxed Quad).

Master's State Championships
Masters racing steps up a gear as the Masters State Championships take place on Sunday 17 May, just ten days out from the Australian Masters Rowing Championships.
Crews from across WA will compete for state titles at Champion Lakes, showcasing experience, depth and hard‑earned speed as the season reaches its peak. More than medals are on the line, with the regatta providing an important test of form ahead of nationals.
One race to watch is the Women’s G–M Pair, with a new trophy up for grabs.

2026 Master's State Team Announced
The 2026 Western Australia Masters State Team has been confirmed following a highly competitive selection process.
Four crews will represent WA at the Interstate Regatta, racing on home waters as part of the Australian Masters Rowing Championships at Champion Lakes on Friday 29 May. Athletes from clubs across the state will unite to race proudly as one WA team.
Congratulations to all selected athletes, along with their coaches, clubs and support teams.

U19 Australian Coxless Four
Rowing WA proudly congratulates an all‑Western Australian crew selected to represent Australia at the 2026 Under 19 World Junior Rowing Championships in Bulgaria.
The Fremantle RC and West Australian RC‑based coxless four secured selection after winning gold at the Australian National Championships. It has been more than 20 years since a full WA crew achieved national selection at this level.
As this campaign is self‑funded, the crew would greatly appreciate the community’s support in helping them take this opportunity to the world stage. 🖤💛💚💛

On-Water Safety Accreditation - Speed Exemption
Rowing WA reminds all members that the Swan and Canning Rivers Speed Exemption is currently in place, allowing coaching and safety vessels to operate effectively during rowing training and events.
All coaches are required to ensure they have completed the On‑Water Safety Accreditation online and that they are familiar with the current conditions and updates under the speed exemption.

Fremantle Rowing Club is seeking a full‑time Head Coach to lead and develop a high‑quality, inclusive rowing programme across all levels of the club, from learn‑to‑row through to high performance.
This is a two‑year fixed‑term role based in East Fremantle, offering a competitive salary package.
