Festival of Rowing Heads to Bunbury
Bunbury Rowing Club are set to host a big weekend of racing at Leschenault Inlet this April. In partnership with City of Bunbury and Bunbury Rowing Club, Rowing WA is proud to bring the Bunbury Big Boat Sprint Regatta back on Saturday 18 April, followed by the Eaton Head Race on Sunday 19 April.
After strong growth in participation across both events in recent years, the 2026 festival promises fast‑paced sprint racing, valuable pennant points, and a great opportunity for clubs to come together for a full weekend of competition and community connection in the South West.

Masters Season Kicks Off Sunday
With entries at nearly 500 seats entered for the first regatta of the season, over 200 Masters athletes are set to race at Champion Lakes this Sunday.
With Masters State Team selections on the line, expect fierce racing, strong camaraderie and a thrilling season opener. Masters #1 is proudly hosted by ANA Rowing Club.

Rowing WA announced its 2026 Western Australian State Teams, selected to represent WA at the Australian Rowing Championships in Tasmania later this month. World Record Broken - From a Home Office!
Western Australia has a new world record holder — again! Rowing WA member Sharon Anne Jones (Curtin University Boat Club) has smashed her own 1‑minute sprint world record at the World Rowing Virtual Indoor Rowing Championships, proving that big results can come from even the smallest rowing spaces.
Fellow WA athlete, Cooper Cross (Trinity College) also delivered strong performances on the world stage, adding to an outstanding showing from our state.

Whether you’re rowing, coaching or supporting from the bank, safe boating matters. Rowing WA’s On‑Water Code of Conduct sets out clear, practical guidance to help everyone share Western Australian waterways safely and responsibly.
