Bunbury Big Boats & Eaton Head Race Loading
Get ready for a huge weekend of racing and revelry at the Bunbury Big Boat Sprints on Saturday 18 April. Bunbury never disappoints, delivering fast and furious 500m dash racing, great competition and stunning scenery that makes this regatta a standout on the calendar.
When the racing wraps up, it's time to get ready for the must attend Bunbury Bafters. Be sure to secure your dinner ticket today for just $20, includes dinner and dessert - cash bar.
Then back it up on Sunday morning with the exquisite Eaton Head Race on the Collie River, the perfect way to round out the weekend on the water. The big question is, has your club got the numbers to take advantage of our incentive offered? Bunbury is calling!

From 27–30 May 2026, at Champion Lakes, Rowing WA will host athletes from across Australia and overseas. This flagship event relies on volunteers to bring it to life.
No experience required and flexible time commitments are available. Get involved, be part of the atmosphere, and help deliver a memorable regatta.

Masters #2 Results & Highlights
Canning Bridge delivered another exciting weekend of racing for WA Masters' athletes, with a testing cross breeze adding an extra challenge to an already competitive field. Building on results from Regatta #1, crews went head‑to‑head chasing points, medals and those coveted top placings.
Amazing growth in numbers resulting in some events being run as 2 divisions! Clearly our Masters' are getting serious about AMRC!
The weekend also featured a special celebration, with Alan Salisbury (WARC) turning 93 and racing both the single scull and a Men’s E‑M double with his son, Darryl.
Congratulations to all athletes — we look forward to seeing continued progression at Masters Regatta #3 on 3 May.

Rose Regatta Team Announced
Rowing WA is proud to announce the selected athletes and coach who will represent Western Australia at the 2026 Rose Regatta in Shanghai, China, from 15–16 May.
The all‑female crew have been selected following a strong expression of interest process and will contest racing on the Jinhuigang River against international competition.
Beyond racing, the group will act as ambassadors for Western Australia, strengthening international connections and promoting WA as a destination for future inbound rowing tours.

Rowing WA and City of Armadale Strengthen Partnership for 2026
Rowing Western Australia is pleased to confirm the continuation of its major partnership with the City of Armadale for 2026, marking an exciting new chapter with the inclusion of the Australian Masters Rowing Championships.

Rowing Water Safety Accreditation - Speed Exemption
Rowing WA reminds all members that the Swan and Canning Rivers Speed Exemption is currently in place, enabling coaching and safety vessels to operate effectively during rowing training and events.
All coaches are to ensure they have completed their Rowing Water Safety Accreditation online, and famialiarise themselves with the updates to the speed exemption.

Fremantle Rowing Club - Casual Coaches Required
Fremantle Rowing Club is seeking expressions of interest from skilled, reliable, and motivated casual rowing coaches to form a pool of coaches for the 2026 pennant season (27 April – 12 September 2026). Coaches are required for early morning or evening coaching sessions that will fit around your study or work commitments, with multiple sessions per week available.
If you currently hold a level 1 coaching accreditation and would like to advance your coaching career at one of WA's oldest and most established rowing clubs, then this is for you!
