Beach Sprint Championships - 31 January - 1 February
Not a weekend you want to miss. FOMO is a terrible thing! Bring the family and enjoy a fun-filled day on the beach! It's fast, it's fun, it's sensational.

50 Years of Women in Rowing - Recap
What an amazing function, hosted by a phenomenal group of women, who paved the way for women in rowing in Australia. More than 100 people met at UWA Boat Club to celebrate!
The stories of these incredible women were inspiring, funny and truely remarkable!

2026 WA Pathway Team nominations are now open!
The Pathway squad is an opportunity to experience the next level of our sport, make new friends, and earn the right to pull on a WA zootie for the first time. The Pathway Regatta is part of the National Underage Trials, held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in April.
Any high-school aged athlete may nominate. This includes athletes who are:
- Enrolled in a public or private secondary school
- Home-educated
- Undertaking a traineeship or apprenticeship
- In an equivalent recognised education pathway

SportWest Junior
Lachlan Brown and Jack Hansen-Knarhoi have both been named finalists for the SportWest 2025 Junior Sports Star award. The Australian Under 19 Men's Pair have been inseparable throughout their campaign toward the 2025 Under 19 World Championships in Lithuania.
The WA rowing community congratulates the pair on their finalist status and wishes them all the best! Winners will be announced at the 2025 WA Sport Awards on 26 February 2026.

PSA Regatta #1
PSA rowing is back for 2026, with the season kicking off on Friday 7 February at Champion Lakes.
Trinity College will host Regatta #1, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting start to the season.
Whether you’re a seasoned rowing supporter or new to the sport, we encourage you to make your way down to the course to support the schools and enjoy a morning of fast, competitive racing. The opening regatta is expected to draw strong crowds as crews return to the water eager to test their early‑season form.
This is a great chance to be part of the community and experience the energy of PSA rowing firsthand.

Albany Masters Weekend – Event Details
Albany Rowing Club invites all Masters rowers to a relaxed and social long‑weekend of racing and community on the Kalgan River. The program features singles, doubles and quad sculls across Men’s, Women’s and Mixed categories, aligned with Australian Masters age groupings.
From a late afternoon "Honeymoon row" to early morning racing on Sunday, presentations and dinner to a Monday morning brekkie! Sounds delightful!
Accommodation needs to be booked asap to avoid dissapointment.

Child Safeguarding in Sport for Athletes, Parents, Coaches and Club Members!
Sport Integrity Australia, together with Rowing WA, CITS and Rowing Australia, is delivering a free safeguarding workshop.
Athletes - to help athletes aged 14 to 17 understand their rights and stay safe in sport. Presented by Mat Sinclair, the session teaches young people how to recognise unsafe behaviour and speak up with confidence while participating in sport.

Parents/Carers - to help parents and carers create safer sporting environments for children. Presented by Wendy Carter, the session covers how to choose child‑safe clubs, support positive behaviour, and access safeguarding resources. It's a practical guide for anyone wanting to ensure young athletes feel safe, supported and confident in sport.

Coaches and Club Members - to help coaches and club members create safer, more inclusive sporting environments for young people. It’s an ideal opportunity for anyone involved in coaching to strengthen their child‑safety knowledge and support the wellbeing of young athletes.
