Capsize Drills: Are Your Members Ready?

Capsize drills are a critical part of on-water safety and help ensure every rower knows what to do in an emergency.

Rowing WA's On-Water Safety Guidelines require participants to demonstrate swimming competency, including swimming in rowing kit, treading water, swimming underwater, and understanding capsize procedures.

Clubs should regularly review their records to ensure all members have completed the required training and that swimming competency and capsize drills are up to date. 🚣‍♀️💙🛟

Check your club's compliance and help keep everyone safe on the water
