10th September 2021

Dear [[FIRST_NAME]],

It's Here!  WA State Championships Weekend!

In a year where we had snap lock-down periods interrupting training, Olympic greatness from WA athletes & a community coming together in full support of rowing, we have arrived at State Championships time!

Good luck to everyone competing this weekend.  We'll see you there!

“Rowing is a sport for dreamers.
As long as you put in the work, you can own the dream.”

— Jim Dietz

Looking for something fun to do this weekend?

Come on out to Champion Lakes Regatta Centre & check out the 2021 WA State Championships!

Watch our top rowers battle it out on the water as they strive for that ultimate win. Bring your bike & take a ride around the lake or join the peloton as they follow the crews from start to finish.

Host clubs, Fremantle Rowing Club & Curtin Uni Boat Club, will be providing all sorts of delicious treats for the hungry & thirsty.

Join us each afternoon of the State Championships at the Rowing WA Mezzanine for a refreshing beverage! The Mezzanine is a licensed area for the weekend with non-alcoholic beverages also available to purchase.

Take a seat on the balcony & watch the excitement of the racing unfold in front of you. We look forward to seeing you there!

"Tap & Go" facilities will be available, with no cash transactions. Doors will open at 1pm each afternoon.

Tomorrow at the State Championships, Rowing WA & Channel 7 will be holding an Olympians vs Celebrities race. The 200m race is scheduled to take place during the lunch break at the Finish Tower end of the course & will be filmed by Channel 7 to be included as part of the Telethon Weekend on 16-17 October 2021.

This is an incredible media exposure opportunity for our sport locally. The Telethon Weekend is seen state-wide over a period of 24-hours when WA bands together to raise much needed funds for various charities & we feel so honoured to be part of the experience.

Join us lakeside to cheer on the crews from 12 noon onwards!
