4th August 2021

Dear [[FIRST_NAME]],

Welcome to our latest edition of Oar Talk.  By now, we hope you are all in recovery mode following the absolute jaw-dropping excitement & wonderfully proud achievements of our WA Olympic rowers!  We look forward to welcoming them home to their family & friends in the coming weeks.

In this short - but sweet - edition you'll find "Save the Date" notices for two very exciting annual events!  The EQ Night Sprints Regatta & our Rower of the Year Awards evening - which promises to be a monumentous event after its COVID-hiatus last year.

Don't forget to visit us at Brookfield Place in the Perth's CBD tomorrow for our Olympic Live Site ergo activation!

Come along to Brookfield Plaza & try to match the Oarsome Foursomes' pace in the last week of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics!

Our Oarsome Foursome's both won Olympic gold last Wednesday - the Women's Four rowing 2km in 6:15.37 & the Men's Four in 5:42.76.

Think you can match their pace over 100m, 200m or 500m on a rowing ergometer? You never know till you have a go. You may be our next local WA Olympic Champion!

Grab a flyer from us on the day & make contact with
your local rowing club to #HaveaGo.

Partnership Formalised for Indoor Rowing

Veteran Sport Australia (VSA) and Rowing Australia (RA) have formalised their partnership through the signing of a memorandum of understanding.

While this partnership will look at opportunities across the sport, there will be a particular focus on indoor rowing which has proved popular among the veteran community, thanks to its inclusion in the Invictus Games.

One of the first projects that VSA and RA will collaborate on together is the roll out of the ‘Introductory Indoor Rowing Coaching Accreditation course’.
