7th May 2021

Dear [[FIRST_NAME]],

This week Rowing WA announced our 2021 Masters State Team that will travel to South Australia for the AMRC!

We also met with the "Out of The Locker Room" people to plan our next Club Development & Hour of Power workshops focusing on mental health & wellbeing support for our rowers.  This is an AMAZING collaboration with a sport-focused dynamic group who will provide us with several informative evenings over the next few weeks.

All this & more below!  Happy reading!

Wrap Up from Rowing WA

The 2021 Masters State Championships were contested on Saturday 2nd May in near perfect rowing conditions.

Following a fairly disrupted masters season with regattas postponed and cancelled due to weather and lockdowns, it was great to see so many Masters rowers fighting it out for State Championship honours.

Rowing WA would like to thank West Australian Rowing Club for hosting a great regatta!

Recognise, Reconnect & Reimagine

It is time to Recognise... Reconnect... Reimagine... volunteering in Australia during National Volunteer Week (NVW).

  • Recognise, celebrate & thank our volunteers for the vital role they play in our sport!
  • Reconnect to what is important by giving your time to help others in our sport.
  • Reimagine how we better support our volunteers.

NVW is the annual celebration in which we can acknowledge the generous contribution of our rowing volunteers.

Proudly celebrate our volunteers! We thank you!

Keep Tabs on UV Levels!

The month of May typically sees lower levels of UV in Western Australia.

With UV below 3, sun protection is generally not recommended unless you work outdoors, spend extended periods of time outside or are near reflective surfaces - like water!

As rowers, we spend A LOT of time on or near the water - especially in the months during regatta season.

Be a SunSmart rower & keep tabs on UV levels with the free SunSmart app.
