Australia Ranked 2nd Overall at World Rowing Cup II

The senior Australian Rowing Team successfully launched their international competitive rowing circuit in Poland earlier this month at the 2022 World Rowing Cup II.

The Women’s Four thrilled the crowd on the final day. The crew of Annabelle McIntyre OAM, Bronwyn Cox, Kat Werry, & Lucy Stephan OAM fended off attacks from the Dutch crew to push away & storm home with the Gold.

Race of the day went to the Men’s Double Scull. Jack Cleary & Caleb Antill thrilled the crowd with a final sprint to the line leading to a photo finish for the Bronze Medal.

There was strong rowing from all our West Aussie athletes. Final results saw Australia ranked 2nd overall out of all competing countries! Congratulations on your hard work. You have done us proud!

Australia Reclaims Rusty Robertson Trophy

The final day of the 2022 Trans-Tasman Regatta saw crystal blue skies & flat water to finish off a great three days of racing, with the Rusty Robertson trophy reclaimed from New Zealand. It was a clear victory for the Australians with a clean sweep across the board, losing no races across the week.

Congratulations goes to the Mixed Doubles of Charlotte Broad (FRC / WA) & Bradley Graham who secured a strong victory for Australia, with a 14 second lead. What a great international debut with the ART for Charlotte!

Congratulations also to West Aussie crew members - Rebecca Bolster (SRRC / WA), Rebecca Pretorius (SRRC / WA) & Lola Quinn (SRRC / WA) - for their part in regaining the Rusty Robinson Trophy.

We are incredibly proud of all our West Aussie rowers. With the strong showing of the athletes in the Trans-Tasman Regatta, the future of Australian Rowing is looking strong.
