Club & School Coach (Level 2)

Rowing WA will be conducting a Club & School Coach (Level 2) Coaching Course on Saturday, 26 November 2011 (Day 1) and Sunday 4 December 2011 (Day 2) here at the Canning Bridge Rowing Centre.

The Level 2 Course has been changed significantly and now involves completion of several Intermediate Coaching General Principals Units.  These will have to be completed prior to attending the two day workshop.

Pre-requisites:-

  • must have completed Learn to Row (Level 1) Coaching Course
  • one (1) year of coaching experience as Learn to Row (Level 1)
  • Units (1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13) Intermediate Coaching General Principles completed

The below date base form will need to be completed and sent back to Rowing WA (PO Box 1229, Canning Bridge WA  6153).  On receipt we will send to you the Intermediate Coaching General Principals Manual for you to complete the course pre work.  Once the units have been completed they will need to be send to Rowing WA for marking.  (Note:  the pre-work is not difficult and should take 5-10 hours to complete).

This course deals with physiology, rowing techniques, training methodology, medical issues, school, Masters @ Adaptive Rowing and professional issues.  The workshop will take approximately 18 hours and will be spread over two weekends.

Rowing WA, Canning Bridge Rowing Centre, 2 The Esplanade, Mt Pleasant

When:

Day 1 - Saturday, 26 November 2011 commencing 8.00 am

Day 2 - Sunday, 4 December 2011 commencing 8.00 am

Cost:

$280.00.  This covers all manuals, Rowing Australia registration and tuition fees

Note:  This is the first Level 2 Course to held for some time and demand for places will be high.  If you are interested in completing this course please fill out the below data base form as soon as possible.
