Murdoch University Rowing Club in association with its sponsor Bankwest is conducting a mini regatta on Sunday 29th May at the Canning Bridge Course.
The emphasis for this regatta is for newer rowers to have the opportunity to row in a racing situation in a non stressful environment with other experienced rowers, as well as promoting camaraderie between genders (mixed crews) and clubs (crews made up of members from different clubs).
We hope that your club will support this initiative by encouraging both your newer rowers and other more experienced rowers to enter the event.
Boats - Murdoch will supply all boats and oars. There is no need to trailer boats for the event. Just turn up ready to row.
Coxes – Murdoch will supply coxes but if you have any coxes that want to volunteer that would be great. Also if you have people who might be interested in coxing in normal regattas but haven’t done it before this is a perfect opportunity for them to get a bit of experience without the pressure normally applied during pennants.
Racing Officials – If your club has people interested in learning a bit about umpiring and/or starting we would be happy to give them a bit of experience as well so let us know if you have any.
We would appreciate if Club Presidents or Captains could forward this email to all of your members asap. People can register on the day but obviously we would prefer pre-registrations so we have an idea of numbers.

If you would like to discuss further please don’t hesitate to call me.
Please note this is not a Rowing WA event so it does not attract pennant points but it has been approved by Rowing WA.
Regards
